The next step in the scuba diving process is a great way to gain additional diving skills and experiences. With so many people participating in advanced diving programs and courses, you will meet some great new dive buddies and have the opportunity to see new sights.
Adventure Dives:
* Underwater Navigation (Required for Advanced Certification)
* U/W Photography
* Search and Recovery * Boat
* Peak Performance Buoyancy * DPV (Diver Propelled Vehicle)
* Night* Drift
* Altitude
* Wreck
* Deep (Required for Advanced Certification)
On several weekends over the summer months one of the Ocean Sports instructors will be going to Jasper for the weekend to conduct the Advanced Open Water Program. During your Certification program you will typically do a Night Dive, a Deep Dive, an Underwater Navigation Dive, an Altitude Dive and a Search and Recovery Dive.
Additional Equipment Requirements:
As an Advanced Open Water Diver there are certain pieces of equipment that you will be required to own. You can purchase them at Ocean Sports at a 15% discount off regular price. -Dive slate
-Time piece of some kind(watch)
-Weight belt with keepers
-Compass
-Knife
If doing the Night Dive, you will need to have a primary light, tank marker light(cylume stick), and a back up light.
$299.95+GST which includes scuba equipment and manual.
You may want to do 3 Adventure Dives plus the Deep and Navigation Dives, one dive at a time, to get your Advanced Certification. Please ask to see what we can do for you. $50.00 +GST per Adventure Dive, plus $59.95 for text book. Students are responsible for all scuba and snorkel gear, also, any gear needed for the particular Adventure Dive.
After completing 5 Adventure Dives, the 2 required dives, and do a first aid/CPR class and you have your Advanced Plus Certification.
