Do you want to become a better diver? The GUE Primer course is a non-certification course designed to introduce divers to the GUE philosophy of diving and help divers build better foundational skills, particularly buoyancy control and propulsion techniques. All divers will find great value in this class as they learn skills such as how to turn 360 degrees in position and how to swim backwards by using specialized finning techniques, enabling divers to achieve precision body positioning while allowing them to keep their hands free for other tasks. These skills are especially useful to underwater photographers/videographers. This course is conducted over two (2) days with a minimum of 14 hours of instruction consisting of three components: classroom lectures, land drills, and four (4) in-water sessions. Completion of the Primer course will greatly increase your likelihood of success if you chose to pursue the GUE Fundamentals Diver Certification Program.
